Verses from the Old Testament about God’s Purpose for Us

I have let you live for this purpose: to show you my power and to make my name known on the whole earth.  (Exodus 9:16 CSB)

May he give you what your heart desires and fulfill your whole purpose. (Psalm 20:4 CSB)

But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” The course of my life is in your power. (Psalm 31:14-15a CSB)

The Apostle Paul’s Purpose:
“I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’
“And the Lord replied: ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. But get up and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. I will rescue you from your people and from the Gentiles. We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 CSB)
